This individual will be required to design, develop, and implement nondestructive testing (NDT) to evaluate the properties and conformance of a material, component, or system without causing damage. Record, analyze and report test results. Write testing plans and maintains test documentation in accordance with applicable regulations and requirements.
Major Position Responsibilities Perform non-destructive tests on objects or materials to examine and attest functionality and performance.Identifies errors and defects in equipment,Use of ultrasound, radiography, or other techniques during the testing process.May be responsible for testing mechanical components, storage, or transport vessels. Like pipelines or containers.
Basic Qualifications Required Education: Vocational/Technical Training DegreePreferred Education: Vocational/Technical Training DegreeDiscipline/Major: Technical school or an applicable skilled trade programAdditional Certifications: NAS 410 Certification Level 1Years and Area of Experience (required for the role): 0-3 YearsKnowledge, Skills & Abilities: Technical expertise. Problem-solving skills. Time management skills. Manual dexterity. Required Near Vision Acuity and Color Perception.
