Job Title: Network Engineer

Job Description

Join an innovative team as a Network Engineer for supporting the design and maintenance of submarine combat system network architecture. Contribute to the advancement of the world's most sophisticated Submarine Combat Systems, ensuring the highest quality software for the US Navy.

ResponsibilitiesInstall, maintain, and troubleshoot routers, switches, and firewalls.Utilize hands-on experience with network protocols such as OSPF, Static Routes, VLANs, L3 VLAN interfaces, ACLs, Multicast, and PIM Dense Mode.Understand and apply network concepts including quality of service and multicast solutions.Contribute to architecture changes across multiple VLANs.Collaborate effectively within a cross-functional team using Agile development processes.Essential SkillsProficiency in networking protocols including OSPF, ACL, PIM, DNS, and NTP.Hands-on experience with Cisco switches and network management.Capability to contribute to Agile development cycles.Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate within a team.Additional Skills & QualificationsCisco certifications or equivalent qualifications.Experience with network management tools such as Wireshark and Fluke Test equipment.Familiarity with the SAFe Agile Process Framework.Work Environment

This position is based 100% onsite in Manassas, Virginia, within one of the secure labs. You will be part of a high synergy team contributing to mission-critical technology development, with opportunities for future involvement in cloud computing projects.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
