Network Engineer
Description We are looking for a skilled and driven Network Engineer to join our team in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This Contract-to-permanent position offers the opportunity to lead and execute essential network projects in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in network architecture and a commitment to implementing secure and reliable solutions. Responsibilities: • Oversee and execute network migration and SD-WAN implementation across multiple locations, ensuring minimal disruption to operations. • Configure network systems to maintain high levels of reliability and scalability for current and future needs. • Collaborate with internal teams and external security vendors to align with cybersecurity best practices and compliance requirements. • Design and implement new circuits, including dark fiber and failover systems, to enhance network redundancy and recovery capabilities. • Manage the transition from legacy systems to SD-WAN, ensuring seamless integration and functionality. • Optimize routing and redundancy configurations to improve operational consistency and system performance. • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for all network projects and configurations for effective knowledge sharing. • Address and resolve challenges in a dynamic and evolving network environment with a proactive approach. Requirements • A minimum of 5 years of experience in network architecture or a similar technical role. • Expertise in Palo Alto Networks, serving as the primary resource for this technology. • Proficiency in Aruba networking solutions, including routing and switching. • Strong knowledge of network protocols and hands-on experience with SD-WAN configuration and troubleshooting. • Familiarity with tools and technologies such as Cisco Routers, Palo Alto Firewalls, and Border Gateway Protocol (BGP). • Proven ability to manage high-priority network migrations and multiple projects simultaneously. • Exceptional problem-solving and communication skills, with a focus on security best practices. • Strong documentation abilities to ensure accuracy and efficiency in project records.
