The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant utilizes advanced health assessment, knowledge, and decision-making skills, while working both independently and in collaboration with physicians and other health care professionals. The NP/PA will provide health care to individuals and families, emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention, caring for patients ranging in age. Position requires high level of customer service skills to establish and enhance positive relationships with patients, co-workers and others.

PRACTICE SPECIFICSOpportunity to work with a collaborative, supportive team which offers 1:1 mentoringTeam consists of 8 APPsThe ideal candidate will have a passion for their scope of practice and will be joining an enthusiastic, engaged team of providers dedicated to our communitiesPosition will have a home location of either Ashland, Hayward, Superior, or Spooner and will support at least 2 of our 4 WI clinic sites during a specified period of timeFlexibility in choice of home and additional locationsTravel is included in paid workday and reimbursed per the Essentia Health mileage policyAnticipated schedule: 4 days/week and 10 hours/day100% clinic work

EDUCATION:Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nursing or Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED:Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in WisconsinCurrent certification in BLSNational certification, in applicable area

Hired candidates may be eligible to receive additional compensation in the form of bonuses, quality incentives or production-based compensation.
