**Job Description:**
*Highland Hospital is seeking a Full Time Inpatient Diabetes / Endocrinology APP to join its team. Candidates for this role would work four (4), ten (10) hour days, Monday - Thursday. No weekends or holidays required.
Some duties include but are not limited to:
The APP will provide inpatient diabetes consult service daily during the week. This includes consults on the inpatient floors, PACU, and SDSU. Opportunities to do inpatient Endocrinology consults. Additionally, there is inpatient committee work, education/teaching that relates to diabetes in the hospital and ORs at Highland Hospital, and support as needed for outpatient providers.
+ Perform comprehensive assessments and develop treatment plans for patients with endocrine disorders in the inpatient setting.
+ Provide direct management of acute and chronic endocrine conditions.
+ Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including laboratory values and imaging studies.
+ Participate in rounds and communicate effectively with other specialties to coordinate care.
+ Provide consultative services for other inpatient teams.
+ Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
**Salary Range:**
$98,000.00 - $130,083.20 annually

Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job’s compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations._

**Job Requirements:**
Education: Fulfilled the requirements to be a Licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in NY State.
Experience: Experience with Diabetes and Gestational care encouraged, but not a requirement
License/Certification Required: Valid New York State license to practice as an APP
Skills: Demonstrated excellence in written and spoken communication, particularly with complex chronic medical disease, end of life issues, and complicated family systems.
