Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated nurse to document comprehensive patient evaluations from Providers, maintain accurate records, and collaborate on individualized care plans. This role also involves educating patients and families about discharge plans and care strategies to ensure smooth transitions. Additionally, the nurse will promote optimal health results by educating patients, families, and healthcare staff.
ResponsibilitiesDocument comprehensive patient evaluations from Providers and maintain accurate documentation.Review patient information to understand their needs and discuss outcomes with Providers.Collaborate on individualized care plans that prioritize patient comfort and well-being with the Nurse Manager.Educate patients and families about discharge plans and discuss care strategies to ensure smooth transitions.Educate patients, families, and healthcare staff to promote optimal health results.Essential SkillsExperience in orthopedic, neurology, and orthopedic surgery.General medical surgical skills.Valid RN or LPN license (compact or single state).BLS certification.Additional Skills & QualificationsACLS certification is preferred.Experience in a clinic or hospital setting is highly preferred.Specialty in triage and experience with electronic health records.Work Environment
This position offers both day and night shifts with options for 3-12 hour shifts or 2-12 hour shifts, available in full-time and part-time capacities. The unit cares for medical surgical orthopedic and neurology patients, including those undergoing orthopedic surgery, TIA, low acuity stroke, seizure disorders, and general medical surgical patients. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:5. Additional benefits include shift differentials, +$5.10 for night shifts, +$2.60 for weekends, and +$8.00/hr for weekend shifts under specific conditions.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $29.30 - $42.10/hr.
