Nurse Tech,Emergency Department Job Type:PRN,VariableShift Under the supervision of an RN, performs basic patient care activities. Performs clerical duties as assigned. Core competencies include, but are not limited to the following: * Performs basic patient care activities as delegated and supervised by an RN, including monitoring vital signs,possibly takingblood glucose measurements, and recording intake and output. * Assists patients with tending to personal care and activities of daily living, including but not limited to bathing, grooming, eating, and ambulation. * Reports abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental, and emotional conditions to nursing staff. * Assistswith keeping patient rooms andcommon areasstocked, clean and orderly. * Providesappropriateandaccuratespecimen collections and care of patients based on individual needs.
