We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced **Office Engineer (CM Engineer 2)** to support the administration and documentation of construction projects for public transit infrastructure in the Sacramento area. The ideal candidate will have 5–10 years of experience in construction document control, project coordination, and filing systems, with a strong track record of managing documentation and ensuring compliance with industry standards. **Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:** Document Control & Filing + Establish and maintain comprehensive filing systems for all project-related documents, including contracts, submittals, RFIs, change orders, and correspondence. + Ensure all records comply with document retention policies and industry regulations. Project Coordination + Support project managers and engineers in coordinating project activities, schedules, and deliverables. + Serve as a liaison among contractors, consultants, and internal teams to facilitate project execution. Compliance Monitoring + Track and monitor compliance with applicable labor laws, including prevailing wage and certified payroll requirements. + Assist with the preparation and submission of regulatory compliance reports. Procurement Support + Contribute to the preparation of procurement documents, such as bid packages and contract amendments. + Assist in evaluating bids and proposals to ensure adherence to procurement guidelines. Reporting & Documentation + Draft and maintain project status reports, meeting minutes, logs, and other key documentation. + Support the preparation of summaries and updates for senior leadership and external stakeholders. Quality Assurance + Ensure project documentation is accurate, complete, and up to date. + Identify and resolve documentation discrepancies and assist in quality control efforts. **Minimum requirements:** Education & Experience + Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred). + 5 years of experience in construction document control and project coordination, ideally within transit or infrastructure industries. Skills & Knowledge + Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and document management systems. + Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities. + Excellent verbal and written communication skills. + Familiarity with construction industry standards and relevant labor compliance regulations. **Compensation:** $34.00 - $44.00 hourly The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the state’s law.
