Job Summary

\n

\n

Support courier/operations processes and activities to enable safe, secure, on-time and accurate transportation and delivery between locations of mail/parcel including local mail, small packages, or legal documents in line with the business strategy and requirements, corporate guidelines and policies and maintaining appropriate records.

\n

\n

Key Tasks

\n

· Under tight deadlines, drives company vehicle to customer sites, climbs in and out of vehicle, and walks up and down stairs as required to pick up and deliver documents and packages to and from customers according to established procedures, in all weather conditions once it is safe for the employee.

\n

· Picks up, handles and delivers time sensitive documents and packages in a safe and punctual manner considering traffic patterns, alternative routes, traffic regulations, and driving conditions in order to meet customer and DHL time requirements.

\n

· Ensures all delivery material received is safely delivered to correct consignee.

\n

· Confirms all deliveries and pick ups through post route debrief.

\n

· Operates a scanner to record shipping and package information for documents/packages picked up or delivered.

\n

· Processing of shipment, offloading, and sorting material

\n

· Back up to assist in the transfer of material between airport and DHL facility.

\n

· Back up to assist with in the outbound process when necessary.

\n

· Reports any suspected breach of security or unusual happenings to Lead Courier/Department Head immediately.

\n

· Gateway Back up

\n

· Customer Relations/Data Agent back up

\n

· Receipt of material from Couriers, resellers, and Point of Sale (POS) to go out to the network.

\n

· Ensure that no shipment is left behind in the vehicles, neither on the floor, and nor on the conveyor; but all shipments are sent ahead for further processing.

\n

· Transportation of this material from the service center to the airport.

\n

· Receipt of material upon the arrival at the airport

\n

· The loading and off-loading of all outbound material on the international flight. This includes all necessary scans and alerts.

\n

· The release and transport of outbound and inbound material out of the customs bond to the service center.

\n

· The release and transport of relevant WPX out of the courier bond to the service center.

\n

· Completing recovery reports

\n

· Managing flight alerts

\n

· 100% security scan of all outbound shipments and storing of paperwork. Gather all damaged / improperly packed parcels from the shipments that have been unloaded; move to repacking area; repack the damaged parcels; scan the repacked parcels, and complete the checkpoint of DM (Damaged Material) on the Scanner

\n

· Correct storing of all manifests.

\n

· COA/BOS report control

\n

· X-Ray Scanning

\n

· Handle customer complaints.

\n

· Serve as support/replacement staff as required.

\n

· Reports any suspected breach of security or unusual happenings to Operations Manager immediately.

\n

· All other operational-related duties as assigned by Operations Manager

Skills and Qualifications

\n

· High School Diploma, Technician’s Diploma or equivalent

\n

· Minimum two (2) years’ experience in a logistics operations environment.

\n

· Holder of a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

\n

· Exceptional customer service skills

\n

· Written and verbal communication skills

\n

· Ability to use work tools (scanner)

\n

· Police certificate of character

\n

· Must be able to lift 70 lbs. < occasionally.

\n

· Must be able to lift 40 lbs. < frequently.

\n

· Must be able to walk, climb, reach overhead, and bend repeatedly.

\n

· Proficient in Microsoft Office
