Operator Trainee
**Job Title: Operator Trainee** **Job Description** The Operator Trainee will assist in the production of tubes and pipes utilized in the oil and gas industry. This role demands attention to detail and involves supporting various warehouse operations. The trainee will act as a helper to extrusion machine operators, aiding in the loading and unloading of machines, and monitoring operations to ensure correct pipe production. **Responsibilities** + Monitor and track the use of raw material according to specifications. + Report production issues, problems, and non-conformities to the Crew Leader. + Coordinate closely with Crew Leaders to prevent disruptions in the production schedule. + Set up machines as per specifications detailed in the production work order. + Ensure product dimensions adhere to engineering specifications on production run sheets. + Comply fully with 5S practices (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain). + Maintain and operate hand tools as required. + Calibrate extruder dies when necessary. + Document all process parameters and raw material consumption for future reference. + Understand and read calipers, Pi tapes, and measuring tapes accurately. + Follow production performance goals, efficiencies, and key performance indicators. **Essential Skills** + 1 year of manufacturing experience. + Experience in extrusion, compression, or injection molding is highly desirable. + Ability to stand for up to 12 hours per day. + Capability to meet daily production goals and follow instructions. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Any experience with plastics is a significant advantage. + A positive attitude and good personality are essential. **Work Environment** The work environment is a small building with a large coiling machine and a small team. It is a non-climate-controlled environment, requiring adaptability to varying temperatures.
