**Job Title: Heavy Equipment Operator** **Job Description** As a Heavy Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for traveling to waste supplier sites to screen and load organic waste material suitable for operations. You will operate, monitor, and maintain screening and loading equipment to facilitate the adequate processing of organic waste. **Responsibilities** + Travel to waste supplier sites to screen and load organic waste material. + Operate feedstock screening equipment that sorts and cleans organic waste. + Direct and assist truck drivers into proper position/location for screening and loading. + Determine whether the screened waste can be transported for processing and injection. + Load screened organic waste into trucks safely. + Assist with maintenance and quality control of equipment including the front-end loader, pumps, tanks, and processing equipment. + Maintain facility grounds by cleaning loose trash and debris. + Attend company-sponsored training and meetings as directed. + Comply with safety, health, and environmental guidelines of the facility. **Essential Skills** + Proficiency in operating heavy equipment. + Experience in construction and using excavators. + Ability to read and interpret blueprints. + Machine operating skills. + Strong commitment to safety protocols. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience in waste management or similar field. + Understanding of environmental guidelines. + Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. **Why Work Here?** You will have opportunities for advancement within the company, with raises and benefits offered, fostering a rewarding career path. **Work Environment** The role involves working outside and adhering to safety protocols to ensure a healthy work environment. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hutchinson, Kansas. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr.
