Description We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Paralegal to join our team in Dallas, Texas. The ideal candidate will provide vital support to attorneys, ensuring smooth case preparation and effective client communication. This role requires a deep understanding of Texas Family Law and a proactive approach to managing legal tasks in a fast-paced environment. This position will start out working for different attorneys as needed. Soon, the position will settle in supporting his/her own attorney. Responsibilities: • Draft and prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and court orders, for attorney review and approval. • Communicate with clients and create spreadsheets and documents for Inventory and Appraisement as well as Proposed Support Decisions. • File legal pleadings with court clerks and ensure all documentation meets required deadlines. • Coordinate the delivery of subpoenas to witnesses and involved parties, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. • Conduct intake calls with potential clients and assist in preparing attorneys for initial consultations. • Support attorneys during mediations, depositions, hearings, trials, and other legal proceedings by organizing case materials. • Assist in analyzing and resolving recurring issues in family law cases with a problem-solving mindset. • Draft discovery requests, manage calendars for due dates, and handle correspondence with opposing counsel or parties. • Guide clients through the discovery process and assist in compiling requested documentation.
