This role focuses on legal research, filing tax warrants and lawsuits, preparing reports, and making proactive collection calls to recover delinquent tax accounts. The Paralegal will collaborate with courts, banks, and firm clients while ensuring compliance with legal procedures. This position is ideal for a self-motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced legal environment and has a background in legal or tax work.Responsibilities:Conduct legal research and locate defendantsPrepare and file tax warrants, lawsuits, and client reportsManage case files and update legal databasesMake collection calls to recover delinquent tax accountsCommunicate with court clerks, constables, banks, and clientsQualifications and Requirements:Proficiency in Microsoft OfficeStrong grammar, spelling, and communication skillsBasic legal knowledge and analytical thinkingAbility to multitask, prioritize, and work independentlyParalegal certification (preferred)Prior experience in legal or tax collections (preferred)Valid driver's license and clean driving record (MVR background check required)Ability to travel up to 50% by vehicleBenefits and Perks:Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour ($37,440 annually)Medical, Dental, and Vision InsurancePaid Holidays (eligibility based on assignment)Ongoing training and career growth opportunitiesYour New Organization:Join a professional legal team dedicated to effective tax collection and client service.
