Position summary:
The Paraplanner position will come alongside our Lead Advisor’s to learn how to create financial plans and soak up firm-specific procedures and processes. Key responsibilities include preparation of financial plans, investment research and analysis, and coordination of client service needs with team members. The Paraplanner reports to and is employed by Shields Cattau Financial Group.

This is a fully remote position. Compensation is $70,000 annually. Benefits include: medical, life, disability, 401k, holiday pay, PTO.

         

          

Position Roles/Responsibilities/Accountabilities

Enter client information into various systemsPrepare and update financial plans and presentation material for client meetingsEnter information into financial planning software and prepare draft financial plansProcessing of client requests, resolving client questions, and making sure client information and documentation are up to dateResearch and respond to client inquiriesFinalize, submit, and track all client account and application paperworkGather and maintain customer suitability informationAssist in generating performance reportsMaintain information in CRM (Salesforce) systemFill out necessary forms for opening and maintaining accountsHandle request for transfers of funds in and out of accountsIdentify and offer recommendations on how to optimize workflowsOther responsibilities as assigned by the Lead AdvisorManually enter information provided by the FA into electronic application systems and email, lock sign or submitNote CANNOT be listed as the servicing representative AND need to note their FA is selling agent within the rep questionnaire

Position Qualifications

Securities (7/66) and Life, Health, and Annuity registration requiredDegree in Financial Planning, Finance, Accounting or Economics preferredDemonstrated customer service orientation/experience, 2+ years preferredExtremely strong organizational skillsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsTechnical computer aptitude and knowledge of business tools (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Salesforce) or ability to learnAbility to handle multiple tasks and maintain a high quality of work while experiencing frequent interruptionsAbility to maintain integrity of sensitive/confidential informationBasic understanding of our products, services, and Thrivent Financial

Compliance and Regulatory
As part of Shields Cattau Financial Group's recruiting/hiring/contracting process, a verification of a candidate's background will be made to complete the hiring/contracting process. In addition, fingerprints will be taken for submission to the Federal Bureau of Investigation for review against nationwide fingerprint records.
