Sodexo is seeking a Patient Services Manager 2 for NYC Health + Hospitals/Carter, a 200-bed Long Term Care and 165-bed Nursing Facility located in upper Manhattan, New York, NY. This is an exciting opportunity to lead patient dining services in a mission-driven healthcare environment.

 

The Patient Services Manager 2 will report directly to the General Manager and be responsible for overseeing a team of approximately 37 union employees. This role will focus heavily on the patient dining experience, providing both restaurant-style and in-room dining options that meet the highest standards of quality and service. Must have flexibility to work varied shifts, including rotating weekends.

What You'll Do

Key responsibilities include:

Leading daily operations of patient food services to ensure exceptional service delivery

Managing and mentoring union hourly staff with a focus on engagement and performance

Coordinating onboarding, training, and development programs for new and existing team members

Ensuring compliance with food safety, sanitation, and regulatory standards

Collaborating with nursing and clinical teams to address patient dietary needs and preferences

Supporting the General Manager with strategic initiatives to enhance patient satisfaction

Managing scheduling, payroll, and operational budgets as needed

Required: Prior experience managing unionized staff in a healthcare food service or patient services environment

Strong leadership and team-building skills with a passion for hospitality and service excellence

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
Minimum Management Experience - 2 years
Minimum Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
