Payroll Admin
The Payroll Administrator is working most of the time directly in the site, responsible for the comprehensive management of the time and attendance system and the payroll process for employees in Mexico, ensuring accuracy, regulatory compliance, and efficiency in all transactions related to compensation and the recording of hours worked. This role involves the collection, processing, and verification of attendance information and payroll, the calculation of salaries, taxes, deductions, and overtime, the generation of reports, and addressing employee inquiries in ad.a related to payroll and time worked.
This role is responsible for:
Time and Attendance System Management: Administer and maintain the time and attendance system (time clocks, digital platforms, etc.), ensuring its proper functioning and the integrity of the dataSupport the Front Line Leaders: to report the time and attendance events correctly and before the cut off.Attendance Data Collection and Processing: Collect, review, and process employee attendance records (clock-ins, clock-outs, absences, tardiness, leaves, etc.) in accordance with company policies.Validation of Attendance Incidents: Validate and correct attendance incidents, such as missed punches, unjustified absences, and request corresponding justifications.Integration of Attendance with Payroll: Ensure the accurate integration of attendance data with the payroll system for the precise calculation of hours worked, overtime, and other compensation related to time worked.Payroll Processing: Collect, review, and process variable payroll information (new hires, terminations, salary changes, leaves of absence, vacations, etc.) in the payroll system.Payroll and Overtime Calculation: Accurately calculate salaries, overtime (in accordance with Mexican labor law), bonuses, commissions, and other compensation according to company policies and time and attendance information.Tax Calculation and Withholding: Correctly calculate and withhold income tax (ISR) and other legal deductions applicable to payroll in Mexico.Deductions and Payments: Process and record other authorized deductions (loans, insurance, etc.) and ensure that payroll payments are made in a timely and accurate manner through various available methods (bank transfers, checks, etc.).Payroll Slip Generation: Generate and distribute payroll slips to employees, ensuring that the information is clear and understandable, including details of hours worked and overtime.Payroll and Attendance Report Preparation: Prepare and present periodic (weekly, bi-weekly, monthly) payroll and time and attendance reports, as well as special reports as needed for internal management and regulatory compliance.Payroll and Attendance Reconciliation: Reconcile processed payroll and attendance records with accounting and bank records to ensure accuracy and identify and resolve any discrepancies.Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on Mexican labor and tax laws related to payroll and attendance control, and ensure that all processes comply with current regulations (LFT, IMSS, INFONAVIT, ISR, etc.).Employee Case Management: Respond to employee inquiries in ad.a and resolve issues related to payroll and time worked in a professional and efficient manner.Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and confidential payroll and attendance files and records, both in physical and electronic format, in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.Audit Support: Collaborate in internal and external audits related to payroll and attendance control, providing the required information and documentation.Project Participation: Participate in projects for the implementation or improvement of payroll and time and attendance management systems and processesQualificationsBachelor's degree in Public Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.Minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll administration and time and attendance management roles in Mexico.Thorough knowledge of Mexican labor and tax laws regarding payroll and attendance control.Proven experience in payroll processing and the management of time and attendance systems in Mexico.Advanced proficiency in payroll and time and attendance management systems (preferably Workday or other ERP systems).Proficiency in Microsoft Office (advanced Excel skills are essential).Ability to perform accurate calculations and attention to detail, including the calculation of overtime under Mexican law.Ability to work with confidential information ethically and responsibly.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Problem-solving and ability to work under pressure.Strong organizational and time management skills.Integrity and Confidentiality, Accuracy and Attention to Detail, Results Orientation, Employee Experience, Teamwork, Continuous LearningAdditional InformationPlease send your resume via [email protected]
