Description Robert Half is actively recruiting for a strong Payroll Manager / Consultant to support our Transportation client for a 6 months+ project. The consultant will be responsible for managing 3 staff and together as a team processing semi-monthly and bi-weekly payroll for over 800 employees. In addition, the consultant will review current payroll entries to ensure compliance with Union contracts and to validate that the Kronos payroll system is performing deductions accurately and completely in accordance with the contract terms. This role will be onsite 5 days located in Long Beach, CA. Requirements: - Deep understanding of Union payroll compliance - Strong User of Kronos Payroll system ( preferred) - Strong Excel Soft Skills: - Attention to detail - Able to communicate at various levels within the organization Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of payroll management experience, preferably in union environments. • Strong expertise in union payroll compliance and contract interpretation. • Proficiency in using the Kronos payroll system for processing and deductions. • Advanced Excel skills, including data analysis and reporting capabilities. • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in payroll processes. • Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization. • Solid understanding of local, state, and federal payroll regulations. • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to resolve payroll discrepancies efficiently.
