Are you a detail-oriented payroll professional with a passion for accuracy and compliance? We’re looking for a Payroll Specialist to join our experienced and collaborative team in Harrisburg, PA. In this vital role, you’ll take ownership of payroll processing, ensure adherence to tax regulations, manage employee timekeeping, and support key administrative functions across the organization. Key Responsibilities:

Payroll Processing:

               o Process bi-weekly payroll, including regular wages, bonuses, retroactive pay, garnishments, and special compensation

               o Review payroll registers for accuracy prior to final submission

               o Set up and manage earning, deduction, and tax codes

               o Monitor employee tax configurations and ensure correct codes are applied

               o Coordinate with payroll provider (e.g., Paycor) to ensure timely and accurate payroll runs

Timekeeping & Attendance:

               o Monitor and post weekly employee timesheets

               o Oversee Paid Time Off (PTO) tracking, accruals, and employee donation programs

Compliance & Reporting:

               o Ensure adherence to state and federal payroll and tax laws

               o Manage state tax and business registrations with Departments of Revenue and Secretary of State offices

               o Generate and submit reports to outsourced tax filer

               o Process weekly and bi-weekly internal payroll reports

 Recordkeeping & Systems: 

               o Maintain and update employee payroll records and related data

               o Post daily cash receipts into Deltek Vantagepoint


Requirements

  

High school diploma or equivalent requiredMinimum of 5 years of experience in payroll processing, ideally in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environmentMulti-state payroll experience strongly preferredExperience with Paycor payroll software a plusProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)Familiarity with ERP systems; Deltek Vantagepoint experience preferredStrong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detailExcellent time management and communication skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively within a teamValid driver’s license for occasional travel to regional officesMust be legally authorized to work in the United States
