Payroll Specialist
Description We are looking for a skilled Payroll Specialist to join our team in Santa Clara, California. This Contract-to-Permanent position offers an opportunity to play a vital role in managing payroll operations and ensuring compliance with all regulations. Responsibilities: • Process weekly payroll efficiently using designated payroll systems. • Prepare, review, and submit accurate certified payroll reports on a weekly basis. • Upload Certified Payroll Records for various projects through platforms such as Tracker, Elations, and E-Mars. • Review subcontractors’ certified payroll submissions to ensure compliance with prevailing wage laws and other standards. • Conduct regular audits of payroll records and related documentation for accuracy and compliance. • Respond to inquiries and correspondence from clients and local agencies, providing timely and precise support. • Identify and resolve payroll-related issues by collaborating with clients and internal teams. • Maintain comprehensive and accurate compliance documentation for all assigned projects. • Stay informed about updates in payroll regulations, certified payroll laws, and industry best practices. • Work closely with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable departments to ensure seamless operations when required. Requirements • Proficiency in payroll systems such as ADP Workforce Now, QuickBooks, or similar platforms. • Strong understanding of certified payroll laws, including the Davis-Bacon Act and prevailing wage compliance. • Experience with platforms like Tracker, Elations, and E-Mars is highly desirable. • Exceptional analytical skills with a keen attention to detail. • Effective communication skills and the ability to resolve issues collaboratively. • Familiarity with accounting functions, auditing, and benefits administration. • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. • Positive attitude and dedication to building strong relationships with team members and clients.
