We are seeking an experienced Phlebotomist to join our team in Syracuse. The role involves performing blood collections using venipuncture and capillary techniques for patients of all age groups. This position requires preparation of collected specimens for testing and analysis, maintaining patient and specimen information logs, and providing superior customer service to all patients. Administrative and clerical duties may also be necessary.
ResponsibilitiesPerform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, and alcohol tests.Accurately enter patient information in a timely manner.Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis.Maintain logs for patient and specimen information.Provide exceptional customer service to all patients.Perform administrative and clerical duties as needed.Essential SkillsMinimum of 1 year of recent experience as a Phlebotomist.Proficiency in phlebotomy techniques, including venipuncture and blood draw.Competence in data entry and sample processing.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent.Detail-oriented with strong computer skills.Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work independently or as part of a team.Comfortable working under minimal supervision.Flexibility to work overtime as needed.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
