OverviewThe Welder will be welding of rebar of all sizes. Fabricate rack brackets, supports and junction boxes, miscellaneous repairs to equipment, trailers and job shacks and other company owned items, equipment and vehicles.
Responsibilities Welds together components of products specified by layout, blueprints, diagram, and work order, welding procedures or oral instructions.Sets controls on welding machine in conformance with WPS.May weld in flat, horizontal, vertical, or overhead positions as qualified.Must be able to read a tape measure.Tack assemblies together using approved WPS.Adheres to all company health, and safety policies.Work in a safe manner.Maintain a clean and organized workspace. QualificationsRequired Education, Experience, and Qualifications
Must be able to pass a 6G SMAW & GMAW X-ray test.Must be able to weld 30in bore pipe.Minimum 2 years of experience in commercial mechanical piping.Basic OSHA 10 hour safety.Operate an oxygen and acetylene burning rig, cutting and beveling pipe.Ability to work overtime when required.Physical/Work Environment Requirements
Must be able to lift heavy objects up to 50lbs, be able to bend/stoop, squat/crouch, climb, kneel and twist. Must be able to climb ladders, work both inside and outside, and around moving equipment safely.
