About the Role
Our client, is seeking an experienced Pipeline Welding, Materials & NDT Engineer to join their engineering team in La Défense, France. This position is part of a major offshore and onshore development program, with responsibilities spanning the full lifecycle of pipeline systems—from material specification through fabrication, testing, and installation. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to technically complex, high-impact energy projects that support the global energy transition.

Key Responsibilities Implement technical specifications for: Rigid line pipe procurement Flexible risers and umbilicals Pipeline welding and non-destructive testing (NDT) Oversee the full project cycle for pipelines: Design, fabrication, testing, installation, and commissioning (onshore and offshore) Develop and manage technical documentation related to pipeline materials, welding procedures, and NDT methods Conduct and supervise technical studies, audits, and tests related to materials and welding Perform audits of pipe mills and fabrication sites to ensure quality and compliance with project requirements Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, suppliers, and contractors to ensure technical alignment and progress Contribute to internal standards and continuous improvement of welding and materials referential documentation
Required Skills and Experience Education: Degree in Welding Engineering, Mechanical/Materials Engineering, or related field Experience: Strong experience in pipeline welding, line pipe manufacturing, and NDT Familiarity with reeling operations and sour service conditions Involvement in both onshore and offshore pipeline projects NDT Techniques: Solid knowledge of UT, AUT, X-Ray, DPI, MPI Auditing & QA: Experience with pipe mill audits, fabrication yard inspections, and technical compliance Technical Writing: Ability to write and review technical specifications, test procedures, and reports Languages: Fluent in English;
