We are currently searching for a highly organized, proactive, and strategic Planning and Manufacturing Project Manager to oversee production planning, process improvement, and manufacturing development initiatives. This role ensures that production operations are optimized for efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and scalability, while aligning with business goals, quality standards, and customer requirements.
This role is based in our New Orleans Headquarters 5 days a week.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Manage and verify work-in-progress inventory information in adherence to the development and design calendar
+ Proactively identify and communicate variance to planned production milestones; create actions plans to address any issues
+ Evaluate vendor compliance and product attribute-level performance and create documentation to communicate appropriately
+ Contribute to the continued improvement of the development and design calendar based on anticipated needs
+ Manage systematic item information and status throughout product lifecycle
+ Create, update and amend purchase order agreements; ensuring item costs match standards and exceptions are communicated and verified upon purchase order placement
+ Partner with Planning and Finance teams to verify inventory payment information including costing, timing, quantities, and other terms across record types such as packing lists, balance invoices, and deposit reconciliation
+ Work closely with design team to ensure timely delivery of samples, early production inventory, and inventory kits
+ Collaborate with Planning and Sales leaders to evaluate sales and inventory trends
+ Support ad hoc sales, inventory, and product analysis and special projects as required
Requirements:
+ Bachelor’s degree in a related field (economics, supply chain management, mathematics, etc.)
+ 2-5 years of experience in inventory, production, and/or supply chain management roles
+ Experience with inventory management software (Oracle, Netsuite, or similar)
+ Strong proficiency in Excel and/or Google Sheets (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros)
+ Familiarity with inventory management or production management in a retail or consumer packaged goods environment
+ Experience with coordinating cross-departmental projects and timelines
+ Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
+ Excellent attention to detail and ability to stay organized while managing multiple deliverables.
+ Strong communication and presentation skills with ability to collaborate with different teams
