Job Description

Overview:

The Plant Supervisor manages the overall plant operations on each shift as the single point of contact for a single unit PRB (western coal) fired power plant to ensure the safe, reliable, and environmentally compliant production of bulk electrical energy. This position is also responsible for providing leadership, supervision and direction of power plant multi-skilled crews, and responsible for prioritizing and scheduling manpower, plant equipment and materials in the most efficient and cost-effective manner. This role will pay between $79,800 to $125,700 per hour/annually depending upon skills and experience. Role is also eligible for bonus, profit sharing and benefits for the employee and their eligible dependents.

Responsibilities:

Supporting all aspects of the day–to-day operation and maintenance of a generating stationAccountability can include supervising and directing multi-skill production and maintenance support personnel to achieve maximum reliable and safe operation of the generating unitsEffectively manage employee/labor relation in accordance with company policies and labor agreements where applicableEnsure and monitor safety and environmental compliance, regulatory compliance, administrative and procedural compliance, and documentationAssist in the coordination and implementation of special projectsSupervisor may be asked to respond to emergency call out situations and assist in trouble shooting of system problemsInterface frequently with outside vendors and contractorsPlanning and Scheduling for plant sitePerform other tasks as assigned

Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED Equivalent5-7 years of power generation plant experience - PreferredExperience with operations and maintenance at a power plant particularly control operator experience on a unit with a drum boiler- PreferredTechnical background or Instrumentation and Control background -PreferredMust have Power generation plant supervision, leadership, communication, problem solving and decision making skills.Good computer skills using Word, Excel, and Outlook-PreferredExperience in computer maintenance management systems and an understanding of PMMS and/or Maximo programs-Preferred
