We are seeking a Platform Support Analyst to join Thomson Reuters’ Data Management Automation team. In this dynamic role, the analyst will leverage their technical and analytical skills, and data management expertise to support Thomson Reuters Data Management Services. The position will be responsible for managing and implementing Thomson Reuters’ enterprise data lineage, data quality and data catalog solutions. This position will work closely with the Technology Teams and Data owners across the company to ensure data lineage and data catalog information is available in the platforms and data quality results are reported. Given the global scope of Thomson Reuters’ data, strong communication skills are essential for this role.
About the role:
Develop, debug, and deploy custom solutions using the Java Spring Framework to meet specific data catalog requirements.Implement end-to-end solutions for data lineage, data quality, and data catalog.Validate and verify data lineage information to ensure accuracy, completeness, and reliability.Maintain and optimize the data catalog to effectively categorize, organize, and govern data assets.Create custom scanners using Alteryx Designer to fulfill specific data lineage needs.Identify and resolve discrepancies or inconsistencies in metadata and data lineage.Establish and manage scanner/connector schedules to maintain data lineage integrity.Ensure data assets within the catalog are accessible, usable, and relevant.Define and develop data quality rules.Monitor and analyze data quality metrics to identify and address issues, anomalies, and discrepancies.Maintain platforms for data quality, catalog, and lineage.Document catalog, lineage, and data quality tools, including user guides, best practices, and standard operating procedures.Generate reports and dashboards to provide insights into data usage, data quality, and catalog and lineage adoption metrics.About you:
Mandatory: Java Spring Framework at least 1-year experience required2- 4years' experienceBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.Minimum 1-year of experience with Java Spring Framework, including developing and deploying custom code.Experience with version control systems such as GIT and API testing tools like Postman.Experience with Python for interfacing with REST APIs to efficiently retrieve metadata.Experience with AWS DevOps.Proficient in SQL.Proficient with databases, business intelligence (BI) tools, and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) tools.Exposure to Alteryx Designer for executing complex data transformations and workflows.Exposure to data management, data governance, or related fields.Exposure to implementing and managing data lineage, catalog, or quality solutions in complex enterprise environments.Understanding of data management concepts, including data modeling, data integration, data catalog, and data quality.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve data lineage, data catalog, and data quality issues.Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.Experience with data governance frameworks and practices is a plus.Ability to document technical requirements accurately and comprehensively.#LI-SM1
