As a member of our hospitality team, the primary responsibility of a Pool Maintenance staff member is to ensure the cleanliness and proper functioning of swimming pools and associated equipment by performing a range of tasks to maintain the pool area and keep the water clean and safe for guests to enjoy. This role is responsible for removing leaves and other debris from the surface of the water, as well as cleaning the bottom and sides of the pool to maintain its cleanliness, and inspecting and replacing any loose or damaged tiles to ensure the pool's structural integrity. A crucial part of this role is to maintain water quality by adding the appropriate chemicals in prescribed amounts to purify and balance the pool water to create an enjoyable and hygienic experience for guests.
Use authorized equipment to remove leaves, debris, and any other foreign objects from the surface of the water regularly. Maintain proper levels of pool maintenance equipment and chemical supplies at the designated storage area and in your service vehicle. Regularly test swimming pool water for pH and chlorine levels using appropriate testing kits and add chemicals to the water as needed to maintain proper pH levels and disinfection.Inspect and replace globes in underwater light fittings to ensure adequate lighting in and around the pool.Conduct routine inspections of the pool structure to identify loose or damaged tiles, cracks, or leaks and perform necessary repairs to maintain the integrity of the pool's structure.Fit and repair pipes and plumbing systems for swimming pools and spas to ensure proper water circulation and drainage.Service and fix any faulty pool cleaning equipment to ensure effective and efficient pool maintenance.Complete all necessary paperwork and documentation related to pool maintenance activities and report any service requirements or issues to management promptly.Provide excellent customer service to guests and members who may have questions or concerns about pool facilities.
