Description
We are looking for an experienced PowerSchool Administrator to join our team in Ann Arbor, Michigan. In this Contract-to-Permanent position, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy, security, and integrity of critical student data while supporting the operational needs of administrators and faculty. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the education industry through data-driven solutions.
Responsibilities:
• Administer and maintain the PowerSchool student information system to ensure data accuracy, security, and compliance.
• Provide data coaching and support for effective data entry and updates related to student enrollment, attendance, grades, schedules, and transcripts.
• Collaborate with administrators and faculty to address scheduling needs, including course offerings, student placements, and special programs.
• Analyze data trends and discrepancies to support strategic decision-making and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, including errors in course schedules, student information, and report generation.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements related to data management and reporting.
• Integrate PowerSchool with other systems using APIs and other technologies to streamline workflows.
• Maintain and update system backups to safeguard critical data.
• Develop and generate reports using SQL, BI tools, and Microsoft Excel to support organizational objectives.
Requirements
• At least 2 years of experience working with PowerSchool or similar student information systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and SQL for data analysis and reporting.
• Familiarity with API integrations to support system connectivity.
• Strong understanding of data security and backup technologies.
• Experience with HTML for system customization or troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of business intelligence tools to analyze and visualize data effectively.
• Excellent Customer Service and problem-solving skills to address system discrepancies and errors.
• Ability to stay current on regulatory requirements impacting data management and reporting.
