**Job Description**
As a Press Operator, you will be responsible for setting up, adjusting, operating, and maintaining a variety of press equipment. Your role involves performing all make-ready tasks associated with the type of press operated, such as hanging plates or installing cylinders, examining plates/cylinders for imperfections, checking for correct positioning of images, prepping blankets, and adjusting tension and register. You will be required to make necessary color corrections and press adjustments prior to production runs to meet and maintain quality specifications. Additionally, your responsibilities include cleaning, lubricating, and maintaining the press, making minor repairs, and replacing worn or broken parts as required. You will also perform periodic maintenance recommended by the manufacturer.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Set up, adjust, operate, and maintain press equipment.
+ Perform make-ready tasks such as hanging plates or installing cylinders.
+ Examine plates/cylinders for imperfections and ensure correct positioning of images.
+ Prepping blankets and adjusting tension and register.
+ Make necessary color corrections and press adjustments.
+ Clean, lubricate, and maintain press equipment.
+ Perform periodic maintenance as recommended by the manufacturer.
**Essential Skills:**
+ Understanding of press capabilities and specifications.
+ Ability to read and understand job specifications.
+ Skill in making precise settings and adjustments.
+ Routine operational maintenance and minor repairs expertise.
+ Knowledge of packing pressure for proper printing pressure.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $43680.00 - $49920.00/yr.
