Position Overview:
Cascadia Behavioral Healthcare is seeking a compassionate and innovative Internal Medicine or Family Practice Medical Doctor to provide primary care diagnosis and treatment for clients with mental health and substance use disorders. The Medical Doctor will oversee team-based primary care delivery at the Plaza Clinic and support care at other Cascadia sites as needed. This role involves collaborating with behavioral health teams and providing Medication Supported Recovery (Suboxone) and psychiatric medication management for stabilized clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide primary care diagnosis and treatment for clients with mental health or substance use disorders.

Lead a team of primary care providers in integrated care settings, collaborating with psychiatric providers and behavioral health clinicians.

Offer medication management and Medication Supported Recovery for low acuity or stabilized clients.

Contribute to the development of wellness programs with the integrated team.

Participate in after-hours call rotation (triaged via nurse call line).

Collaborate with the Primary Care Medical Director to define goals and review progress of integrated care operations.

Engage in quality improvement efforts through chart reviews, quality dashboards, and team huddles.

Maintain safety protocols and demonstrate responsibility for client, staff, and property safety.

Ensure accurate and timely documentation using the electronic health record system.

Participate in annual training and staff meetings as required.

Qualifications:

Active state medical license as a Family Medicine or Internal Medicine MD or DO.

Certification (or willingness to become certified) in Suboxone therapy.

Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in primary care.

Experience with community health clinics or working with mental health/substance use populations preferred.

Leadership experience and ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.

Proficient in electronic health record systems (EPIC preferred).

CPR/First Aid certification (must remain current).
