**Job Description**
We are looking for a Principal Manufacturing Systems Engineer with a strong foundation in production operations and a passion for driving digital transformation to join our Business Manufacturing Systems team to drive the implementation of digital manufacturing solutions across our shop floor operations. This role will lead the design, deployment and sustainment of digital manufacturing systems, including Manufacturing Execution System (MES), Digital Work Instructions, production dashboards and other manufacturing digital tools to support smarter, more connected factory operations. The ideal candidate has deep knowledge of shop floor processes and proven ability to translate manufacturing requirements into scalable digital solution that enhance production performance and visibility.
As a Principal Manufacturing Systems Engineer, you will:
+ Support the end-to-end implementation of MES, including process mapping, functional design validation, testing and deployment.
+ Enjoy work-life balance with a 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off.
+ Engage stakeholders to gather business requirements to turn into technical solutions.
+ Lead or support user Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test script creation, execution tracking and defect resolution.
+ Facilitate training sessions and develop training documentation to support system adoption on the shop floor.
+ Lead cross functional workshops to align systems capabilities with business needs and identify areas of improvement.
+ Drive system integration and optimization.
+ Support digital enterprise initiatives across functions.
+ Configure and maintain manufacturing related software systems.
+ Monitor and support post-deployment activities, troubleshoot issues and escalate as necessary to technical teams.
+ Help maintain governance of system changes and act as a change agent for system related initiatives across sites.
**Required Education, Experience, & Skills**
+ Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Industrial or Systems Engineering or related field.
+ 6 years of experience in manufacturing environments, with a least 2 years supporting MES or digital manufacturing systems.
+ Experience working with ERP, MES, PLM systems and systems integration efforts.
+ Strong understanding of production workflows, shop floor processes and lean principles.
+ Demonstrated ability to collaborate across engineering, IT and operation teams.
+ Would consider candidates with additional experience for a Senior Principal Manufacturing Systems Engineer role.
**Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills**
+ Experience with Oracle MES or similar platforms
+ Understanding of Windchill PLM environment, and how data relates between PLM (Windchill) and ERP (Oracle)
+ Experience with digital work instruction tools, traceability systems and production dashboards
+ Experience with data visualization tools (e.g. PowerBI)
+ Experience with operations and production management, inventory control, purchasing and supply chain management, business intelligence, and engineering management modules / capabilities within ERP solutions
+ Lean Six Sigma is a plus
**Pay Information**
Full-Time Salary Range: $105254 - $178931
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
