Responsibilities: * Team management: Lead a small team, and provide direction and mentorship as required. * Risk Development Strategy: Establish the overall process for the joint identification, assessment and tracking of risks, segregation of risks to risk owners, development of mitigation actions, and recurring monitoring and update - ensuring that risk management is conducted according to established practices. * Risk Refinement: Establish the framework for how collaborative risk workshops will be implemented to facilitate comprehensive discussion on both inter- and intra-disciplinary risks. * Risk Modelling: Oversee the running of the integrated Quantitative Risk Analysis (QRA) model and ensure risk modelling is conducted according to established practices. * Relationship Management: Maintaining strong relationships with the Project stakeholders to ensure consistent quality and compliance throughout the joint risk register development process. * Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate closely with design and construction teams, estimating and scheduling teams, independent value assessors and other critical stakeholders to ensure the risk register accurately reflects the scope and complexities of the project. * Bachelor's degree in in Civil engineering, Construction Management, Risk Management or a related field. * Professional certifications in risk management (e.g., Canadian Risk Management (CRM) or equivalent). * Minimum 15 years of experience with at least 8 years’ experience in leading the risk management programme for a major capital construction project. * Proven experience in managing risk for complex, large-scale transit construction projects in the public sector. * Experience leading risk for a Progressive Design Build project. * Rapid rail and transit risk experience including developing the risk register for tunneling activities and station construction is required. * Experience in facilitating input collection workshops to develop and run an integrated Quantitative Risk Analysis (QRA) model, and presenting the results, including the Joint Confidence Level (JCL), to inform on target price and schedule. * Collaborative contracting experience, including development of a target price, gainshare/painshare mechanics and efficient allocation of risk between parties.
