What You Will Do

Establish partnerships at all levels within the supplier, emphasizing collaboration, clear expectations, common goals, trust, and transparencyIdentify risks and gaps in supplier manufacturing processes and develop sustainable gap closure plansAssist the supplier in establishing data / metrics to evaluate the health and stability of the manufacturing processJointly develop recovery plans with supplier, then implement operating rhythm and metrics to hold supplier and stakeholders accountable for performance to planEnsure the supplier has robust processes for shop floor control, order management / production controlAssist the supplier to improve efficiency & utilization, set-up reduction, equipment layoutDrive engagement and cross-functional collaboration between Supply Chain, Engineering and Quality for both Collins Aerospace and the supplierAssure supplier preparedness for activities such as executive reviews and readiness assessmentsSupport corporate improvement initiatives by ensuring the supply base is trained on the common processes, lean manufacturing, quality systems, and other improvement toolsEnsure technical reviews are supported with the appropriate knowledge and experience to provide a thorough evaluation of the supplier’s manufacturing capabilitiesEnsure suppliers are managing capacity, demand and resource plans that demonstrate rate readinessPrioritize supply base risk management and actions with sufficient lead time prior to production rate increasesComplete due diligence activities to identify and assess supplier operational risksSupports the demand management planning process to meet on-time delivery targets and future rate breaksDevelops effective shop floor visuals and efficient material flow in the value streamEnsures demonstrated yield is used in all manufacturing planning.ITARS Compliant

Qualifications You Must Have

Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experienceU.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or granted refugee or asylee status) as defined here: https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-22/chapter-I/subchapter-M/part-120/subpart-C/section-120.623 or more years of experience reading blueprint 3D catia and 2D drawings3 or more years of experience with SAP, ETQ, NetInspectMust be able to travel up to 50%

Qualifications We Prefer

ASQ CQE preferred.Experience in an Aerospace Quality environment a plus.Working knowledge of Process Flow Diagramming, Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA), and Control Plans per SAE J J1739 for Advanced Product Quality Planning an asset.Competent in Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA) and Gauge R&R) and SPC desired.

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
