Join our Cooler Integration Team as a Manufacturing and Process Engineer! You'll support manufacturing, perform failure analysis, and improve processes. Develop, implement, and maintain methods for fabricating parts and assemblies. Collaborate with design engineering on new product releases. Estimate costs, calculate time standards, and recommend tooling and process requirements. Maintain records for manufacturing operations. Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Manage individual programs that are run through the Cooler Fabrication and Integration Line including:Perform process development and generate work instructions. Own the process.Evaluate product material & production defects and work corrective action with Quality Engineering, including evaluation of new suppliers or material changes.Address out of flow material and support Fabrication, Production Control and Quality/Reliability Engineering as needed.Be an active contributor in the MRB process. Process non-confirming reports with dispositions.Performing all necessary SAP and/or ERP transactions.Train operators in new processes and verify existing processes are being adhered to through feedback to the Production Manager.Supporting ISO certification and Export Controlled Information as required by insuring current and accurate work instructions and conduct.Engage with the Tooling design group to implement production improving devices.Cooperate with Test, Software and Systems engineering to ensure that accurate specifications are used for product assessment and validation.Focus on continuous improvement for output, yield, and cost reduction (Sustaining Engineering)Ability to work using hands and have good manual dexterity.Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 25 lbs (and occasionally up to 50 lbs)Physical stamina and the ability to stand or sit for extended periodsCertain vision abilities are also required when working in a cleanroom, clean area and when using a microscopeUse hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, crouch, bend, and twist..The execution of the above tasks may include the following:
Generate and implement process documentation that is consistent with ISO 9001 and Export Controlled Information requirements.Specify, procure, and qualify new equipment as required to support development and production programs.Support Equipment Engineering by providing guidance on equipment operation and required periodic maintenance.Implement SPC and other statistical techniques as appropriate.Conduct processes development and process improvement activities.Train and certify operators on existing and new products as required.Work with Tool Design Engineering and Design Engineering on concurrent engineering.Interact at all levels of the organization (operator, peer engineers, managers, directors, vice presidents).Interact with suppliers and internal customers as needed.Knowledge and Experience Desired
Material characterization techniques understandingInfrared vision systems experience with cryocoolers, dewars and integrated systems.Vacuum Packaging Technology or vacuum systemsLean Six Sigma experience (SPC, Hypothesis Testing, Design Of Experiments, DMAIC)Assembly process documentationISO/ITAR/EAR process and proceduresProficient computer skills – Word, Power Point, Excel & Outlook, SAP, Camstar/MES, Confluence/JIRAAbility to use microscopes, calipers and micrometers and other electrical measurement equipment.Statistical platforms experience (Minitab, JMP, SPSS, R, etc.)GD&T understanding, mechanical design software and modeling.SoftwareSolid WorksProgramming language C# or Python is a plus.Job Qualifications:
3+ years of mechanical or electromechanical related experience.Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in related technical discipline required.Engineering background and ability to quickly learn a new field such as cryocooler fabrication and integration.Ability to communicate clearly in written and spoken EnglishApplicants must be either a U.S. citizen or PERM RESIDENT.
Salary Range:
$72,600.00-$96,800.000Pay Transparency
