Responsibilities

The Process Engineer is responsible for supporting production, driving process improvements and optimization making sure that quality product is produced efficiently and on time meeting all customer requirements at a competitive cost.

 

Job Duties:

The Process Engineer will report directly to the Engineering Manager and will be responsible for monitoring critical production KPIs, working with the production team to make adjustments as needed to optimize performance and achieve goalsActively monitors key process parameters and provides feedback on performance to production teamWorks with the production team to identify and document critical processing conditionsActs as subject matter expert for all production processes and equipmentIdentifies and implements improvements in critical areas such as safety, quality, productivity, and supply chain working collaboratively with key stakeholders to drive improvements and resolve issuesProvides hands on daily technical support to the production supervisory teamActs as the problem solving subject matter expert and facilitates activities such as root cause analysis and 5 why exercisesDrives the problem solving process working with the team to understand non-conformances and support the effort to define effective corrective actionsStays up to date on all applicable technical advancements utilizing knowledge to drive improvementsResponsible for maintaining and optimizing the production training system making sure the production team has the procedures and tools needed to effectively train, certify, and monitor performance for all production employeesDefines, monitors, and reports operator performance based on defined metrics providing feedback to supervisors which can be used to drive improvement and develop employeesProvides direct assistance working collaboratively with the maintenance team as needed to solve critical equipment issuesDevelops and maintains process troubleshooting guides to be used to standardize and optimize actionsMaintains a high commitment to quality, thoroughness and efficiency in all work aspectsObserves and follow all quality, environmental, health and safety procedures Qualifications

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, Chemical, Polymer, Plastics Engineering required Experience working in a manufacturing environment with Thermoforming is ideal Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Demonstrated problem-solving abilities with ability to troubleshoot production and equipment issues Experience with SAP software (project management, purchasing, maintenance execution, or related) preferred Demonstrated organizational skills. Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel), and instructional software Good interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of management

 

Work Conditions:

Indoor industrial environment that may experience high temperatures and humidity during the summer months. Hearing Protection required when out on production floor due to industrial machinery sound level
