Description
We are looking for an experienced Procurement Manager to join our team in St. Louis, Missouri. In this long-term contract position, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing our procurement processes and driving strategic sourcing initiatives. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of efficient workflows and effective contract management.
Responsibilities:
• Manage and oversee operational contracts, including drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and routing documents based on their complexity.
• Conduct risk assessments for contracts and escalate high-risk agreements to legal teams with clear summaries of concerns.
• Streamline the procurement of services, materials, and equipment while ensuring compliance with company policies and standards.
• Enhance and optimize contract lifecycle management processes to improve efficiency and reduce turnaround times.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as finance, legal, and IT to ensure seamless operations and maintain confidentiality.
• Actively work on reducing delays in contract processing, especially during high-demand periods.
• Identify opportunities for strategic improvements in procurement workflows and implement actionable solutions.
• Utilize tools such as Coupa, SharePoint, and Dynamics to support procurement and contract management activities.
• Monitor and maintain compliance with industry standards and organizational policies throughout all procurement activities.
Requirements • Proven experience in procurement and contract management, including drafting and negotiating agreements.
• Familiarity with strategic sourcing practices and tools such as Coupa, SharePoint, and Dynamics.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess and refine processes.
• Detail-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to driving improvements and managing ambiguity.
• Demonstrated ability to define contract complexity levels and determine appropriate routing for legal review.
• Effective collaboration skills for working with finance, legal, and other cross-functional teams.
• Responsiveness and adaptability to manage workload fluctuations, particularly during peak periods.
• Experience in the agricultural sector is a plus but not mandatory.
