The Mission Systems C3BM Engineering Department in Collins Aerospace is seeking a Production Support Engineer to perform lab integration activities on the ABMS DIPN contract.
We are seeking a Product Support Engineer to work in Richardson, Texas. An active and transferable U.S. Government SECRET clearance is required prior to start date
What You Will Do:
The Product Support Engineer is responsible for performing production, assembly, and checkout of HW, SW network communications equipment racks, embedded COTS and program unique SW components. You will work closely with multiple teams to support deriving processes needed for SW deployment and HW component rack and stack activities. The Product Support Engineer decomposes technical features into process and checklist tasks required to build out the HW and SW equipment rack capabilities defined by program requirements and schedules. This includes supporting technical and program planning reviews with program stake holders. You will also define and adhere to team process, procedures, program standards and guidance to ensure all delivered equipment meets requirements.
Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Testing of Hardware and Software for connectivity and usability
Installation and Configuration of Hardware in a lab environment
Support for development and test teams utilizing equipment in the lab
Creating, maintaining, and improving existing processes
Establish customer lab requirements for program product line features
Tracking, tasking, and planning future tasks for program efforts.
Design the support systems machines, network devices, and other infrastructure equipment
Establish and Maintain connectivity between lab environments and configure all network access needed
Ensure reliable access to program systems
Able to lift equipment up to 30 lbs
Documentation of changes within the program configuration of hardware.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
Active and transferable U.S. Government SECRET clearance is required prior to start date
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance and only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
System Administration and best practices experience
Familiarity with Linux Systems and Windows System
Windows Remote Desktop System (RDS)
Familiar Hyper-V – virtualization of hardware
Network design, network configuration, managed switches, routers
Testing of hardware and software for connectivity as required
Installation and configuration of hardware experience
Agile methodology experience (Jira, Confluence)
Basic understanding of DevOps and CI/CD pipeline
Basic knowledge of configuration management
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Ability to prioritize and make data-driven decisions
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Qualifications We Prefer:
Understanding of complex network solutions
Understanding of Networking fundamentals and Network deployments
Experience leading or working with cross functional teams
Experience with Requirements derivation and testing
Experience working with JIRA & Confluence
