About the role

We are recruiting for a Production Chemist to join our client in Brisbane, Queensland on a contract basis. As a Production Chemist, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of the company's oil and gas production processes. This is a critical role in supporting the ongoing success and growth of the business.

What you'll be doing

Conducting regular testing and analysis of raw materials, intermediate products, and final products to ensure they meet required specifications

Identifying and troubleshooting any issues with the production process and implementing corrective actions

Developing and optimising production methods and procedures to improve efficiency and product quality

Maintaining detailed records and documentation of all testing, analysis, and process improvements

Collaborating with the production team to provide technical guidance and support

Ensuring all operations comply with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific discipline

Minimum 3 years' experience as a Production Chemist or similar role in the oil and gas industry

Proven ability to analyse complex data and interpret results to drive process improvements

Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills

Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate records

Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate technical information clearly

Knowledge of relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations
