POSITION: Production Coordinator

Summary
ASM, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for the Production Coordinator for ASM Global Jacksonville. The Production Coordinator will report to the Production Manager and will play a critical role in overseeing all production requirements for all ASM buildings. This position will be responsible for collaborating with building staff and promoters to ensure the smooth operation of all events, concerts and performances. This will include assisting in managing back of house requirements, overseeing crews, and the maintenance of all building equipment and assets.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Oversee load-ins, set ups, show runs and strikes for all assigned shows and events across all ASM venues and facilities.Examples: national concert tours, arena sporting events, basketball, ice hockey, arena football, stadium style concerts and events, civic events, broadway shows, symphony performances, convention center events and showsTroubleshoot and correct production issuesInterface with all show departmentsInterface with and direct union employeesAble to read, edit and interpret all stage related drawingsWork with Production Manager to implement the Production Event Order for each eventWork closely with and coordinate with Facility, Event and Technology Managers to ensure that daily needs and event needs for the facilities are met, as well as ensuring all events, setups, and tear downs run smoothlyInspect conversions, construction and installation progress to ensure conformance to established specificationsAssist in preparing event estimatesAssist in processing payroll for IATSE Stage EmployeesAttend staff meetings. Develop and maintain a harmonious working relationship with staff and other departmentsUnderstand and interpret IATSE contracts, agreements, work rules and wagesProvide for the training, safe working conditions and welfare of employees in accordance with ASM policies, union guidelines and applicable EEO and OSHA regulationsConduct frequent facility inspections and note deficiencies and supervise necessary action plans for remediationAssist with research and recommend equipment, tools, materials and supplies to fulfill the needs of the departmentAssist with special projects at and around the facilitiesAssist in overseeing activities of vendors, subcontractors, and city services.Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (ASM Maintenance) including comprehensive preventative maintenance system for facilityRequires regular use of independent judgment when it comes to matters of importance without direct supervision and of great value or repercussion.All other duties as assignedQualifications

Mobile devices such as cell phones, laptops and tablets.Familiar with terminology and procedures in the Sports and Entertainment industryFLA Class E Driver's License is required prior to appointment & must be maintainedAbility to operate motor vehicles with gross vehicle weight ratings of 26,000 pounds or more such as bucket trucksEducation and/or Experience
2-year minimum experience working in a performing arts center, theater, arenas, touring, event production requiredKnowledge of operations, maintenance and stage managementWorking knowledge of applicable OSHA, state and other work environment and safety regulationsWorking knowledge of fire and public safety systemsPrior supervisor/managerial experience preferredPhysical Demands
