ResponsibilitiesThis position has the primary responsibility to review MRP and other requirements and also to schedule, release, and follow up on production orders that provide parts on time and support the master production plan and repair part requirements. This includes promising the delivery of parts to meet sales/service requirements. Identify internal bottlenecks, or PO delivery issues, and suggest possible action plan to the Resource Manager, Supply Chain Leads, Manufacturing Engineering Manager, or the Purchasing Manager. Timely distribution of production orders to manufacturing.
Key Challenges:
· The internal environment:
o Continue to improve our available to promise integrity and data integrity by reviewing and acting upon the changing demands in MRP and checking the data accuracy in our business system.
o Control inventory costs through good inventory practices and following business rules.
o Reduce total lead time of production and repair parts.
o Maintain data integrity for inventory balances and production orders.
o Promote a positive attitude and motivation among fellow employees.
Scope:
· Responsible for ensuring assigned Materials activities and orders are completed as required supporting on-time shipment of equipment and parts to customers.
· Production order planning and scheduling as well as subsequent changes.
· Processing of Production Order Receipts and moving material to next order or stock location.
· Request Supply Chain Leads to expedite material needed for customer/production orders as required.
· Monitor progress of production orders to operation start and completion dates.
· Respond to Sales Service requests for special lead time completion dates.
· Track progress of “Less than lead time” or other key repair part production orders.
· Identify, investigate, and adjust inventory (if necessary) shortages from production orders and pick lists.
QualificationsKnowledge and Experience:
· AA or AS degree in a business related field and/or 5-10 years of prior materials related experience.
· Must demonstrate excellent people skills, along with strong verbal and written communication skills.
· Must be a team player and able to interface with all levels of internal and external customers worldwide.
· Must be self-directed, well organized, time management skills, and committed to customer service.
· Demonstrated knowledge of MRP and shop floor execution systems.
· Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint) experience
