PRODUCTION TRAINING PROJECT LEAD (CONSULTANT)

Project: Boden - 6 billion EUR green steel project site

Role Purpose
We are on a mission to disrupt the global steel industry by producing green steel, with the end goal of bringing down CO2 emissions to zero. Our green steel production in Boden will be powered by one of the world’s largest green hydrogen plants, running on renewable electricity. Instead of emitting large amounts of CO?, as in traditional steelmaking processes, our primary emission will be water. By 2030, our ambition is to produce 5 million tonnes of green steel annually in our fully integrated, digitalized, and sustainable plant in Boden, located in northern Sweden - currently in construction phase.  The facility will impact, and shape, the surroundings as well as the perception of Boden, with the aim that it will be seen as a symbol for the much-needed green transition of heavy industry.

Contribute to the development of a high-performing, safe, and skilled workforce. The Training Project Lead is responsible for planning, managing, and delivering training initiatives supporting production readiness and long-term capability development. Initially focused on coordinating external vendor-led training during the startup of a greenfield hydrogen-based steel facility, this role will expand to include internal training programs, cross-functional capability projects, and alignment with the broader Learning & Development strategy. This is a hands-on project role requiring both independent leadership and day-to-day coordination skills.

Key Responsibilities Lead and deliver training projects across production areas, from planning through execution. Coordinate and execute training delivery activities, including vendor-led, internal, and cross-functional programs. Liaise with external equipment vendors to align training timelines and deliverables with startup schedules. Manage stakeholder relationships across Operations, Engineering, HSE, and Learning & Development. Ensure training materials and documentation meet company standards and regulatory requirements. Track training progress, certifications, and readiness metrics across production roles. Drive feedback loops and continuous improvement initiatives for training delivery.
Education & Certifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Education, Industrial Operations, or related field.
Experience Relevant experience in coordination or project management in technical environments. Experience managing vendor training or commissioning-related programs. Demonstrated ability to deliver projects while managing logistics and stakeholders.
Competences & Skills Proven organizational, coordination, and execution skills. Ability to operate hands-on project work. Proficiency in stakeholder engagement and cross-functional communication. Understand adult learning principles, technical training, and SOP development. Proactive and adaptable in a dynamic environment. Comfortable balancing planning with hands-on execution. Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
