Role Introduction

Reports to : Programme Analytics Lead

The Customer Relationship & Retail (CRR) department of Cathay Pacific brings together the best of our collective cultures to work on innovations and initiatives that will add value to our members and customers. It manages the Cathay membership programme totalling more than 12 million members worldwide. The department also spearheads the airline’s third-party retail & ecommerce partnerships & offerings.

The Programme Data Analyst sits under the Programme Value Optimisation team, which is responsible to support the development of Asia Miles in becoming the most desirable premium currency by establishing capability to understand, optimize earn, burn, breakage & yield to ensure sustainable growth and maximization of Customer Lifetime Value (CLV). The team also contributes to strategic partnership discussions within the Customer Lifestyle division.

The Programme Data Analyst is pivotal in enhancing and optimizing the programme's value through data analytics. This role entails monitoring, forecasting, and refining key loyalty value metrics to sustain and grow the programme. Key areas of focus include understanding and influencing members behaviours that optimize programme value using data, while providing data & analytics support to both the other Lifestyle pillars. The Programme Data Analyst will collaborate closely with various stakeholders to deliver actionable insights and recommendations, as well as develop interactive dashboards to visualize key metrics and trends.

Key Responsibilities
Conduct in-depth analysis of loyalty and passenger data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities to support programme objectivesDevelop and maintain data dashboards and reports to track programme performanceCollaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data needs and provide analytical supportProvide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to support decision-makingDevelop data workflows and automation processesParticipate in and support other program level initiatives as appropriateRequirements
Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or a related fieldMinimum 3 years of experience in data analysis, preferably loyalty, CRM or airlines relatedProficiency in SQL, data analytics and visualization tools, e.g. Alteryx, Qlik Sense and TableauStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong written and verbal communication skills in both Chinese and English, capable of explaining technical jargons in layman terms to business stakeholdersA highly self-motivated team player who possess customer-centric mindset and excellent problem solving, communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work and learn independently with strategic thinking and commercial acumenPersonal & Application Information
