Job Description

The Project Architect is responsible for leading consultants and technical teams to ensure effective project design execution and the delivery of implementation documents for healthcare projects. This role involves collaboration with the PIC/PM to develop and manage the production schedule, ensuring deadlines are met. The Project Architect prepares, reviews, and coordinates implementation documents to conform to QA/QC standards, manages technical resolution and coordination for specific project segments, and may lead code analysis for compliance with code and zoning requirements. Additionally, they coordinate design group interactions both internally and externally, lead consultant team work sessions, maintain open communication with clients, and provide project guidance.

ResponsibilitiesCoordinate with project managers, clients, public agencies, consultants, and contractors to incorporate engineering systems.Respond to requests for information, clarifications, and modifications.Obtain approvals and adjust the scope of services.Prepare client presentations and present design concepts and drawings.Exercise persuasion and negotiation skills on critical issues.Perform product research and assist project designers with materials and systems evaluation.Oversee the application of products and materials and maintain awareness of risk management for potential project issues.Lead team meetings to discuss project issues, attend on-site visits, field reviews, and project meetings.Prepare and review meeting minutes for consultant coordination meetings.Resolve conflicts effectively and encourage a healthy team environment.Seek leadership opportunities by providing direction and feedback to team members.Collaborate with team leaders to deliver projects on defined budget requirements.Travel as required.Essential SkillsArchitecture and architectural designProficiency in Revit and construction document preparationProject management skillsBase building experienceAbility to produce CD sets and manage construction administrationExperience in construction drawings and design developmentCommercial construction and healthcare design expertiseRegistered Architect7+ years of experienceAdditional Skills & QualificationsBS in architecture preferredBasic understanding of codes and ADAClient interfacing personalityWork Environment

The work environment offers a flexible schedule with a combination of office and remote work, typically three days in the office. During the first 30 days, employees are encouraged to be in the office for four or more days to acclimate to the firm and team. The company is highly collaborative, utilizing its NYC, DC, and Richmond, VA offices to staff projects. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.86 - $45.67/hr.
