Aviation Project Implementation Liaison

Job Description

Our team is looking for an Aviation Project Implementation Liaison to join them. You will report to the Engineering Manager and will have an onsite work structure in Creedmoor, NC.

ResponsibilitiesProvide SME input to issues arising during the project that are within your abilityMaximize project efficiency and overall goal achievementDetermine project specifications and acquire the necessary materials for completionDevelop scope and parameters for project design and implementationIdentify responsibilities and delegate accordingly throughout each phase and element of the projectDevelop and control the full project-plan lifecycle with key stakeholders of the projectDevelop technical publications as appropriate for the Twin Commander aircraftProvide Technical Support for the Twin Commander aircraftWork with engineering manager to establish project objectives, methods, and performance standardsPerform research and analysis on key issues and roadblocks of the project that allow you to either solve the issue or directly task a resource to solve the issue for youPrepare a schedule of necessary support and personnel requirements to complete projectHold kickoff meetings and communicate accordingly to collect all initial and follow-on data for projectMonitor project performance by establishing goals, timelines, and milestonesInform engineering manager promptly of any schedule changes, and work closely with all stakeholders to ensure requirements are metOversee purchase request/orders, budgets, scheduling, and project data, reporting out regularlyManage relationships with all parties, operators, vendors, government authorities, internal value stream, etc. to ensure you have all the information necessary to make informed decisions on the project outcomeFrequently check-in on key deliverables. Designate what needs to be addressed daily, weekly, monthly, and set reminders/meetings to ensure the cadences are establishedAssist with technical support for the Twin Commander aircraft type based on operator requestsTechnical Support: This refers to answering operator questions about Twin Commander aircraft issues that are technical in nature. Answer communications, research drawings, parts lists, etc.Technical Publications: This refers to your work within the Twin Commander program for technical document research, authoring documents, attending FAA meetings, etc.Research: This includes evaluation of drawings, reports, standards, etc. that are technical in nature and necessary for the completion of engineering projects.Coordination includes meetings and communication with key stakeholders and resources to control project outcomesProject Management includes utilizing methods such as Gantt charts, Waterfalls, Risk Registers, etc. in tools like Excel, Planner, MSPOL, etc. to control project movement and focus resources on milestone completionsEssential SkillsB.S. Degree in Engineering or related technical discipline, preferably related to the aviation sectorAt least 3 years of on aircraft Twin Commander technical experience or experience with Honeywell TPE331 engines; Piper, Beechcraft, Cessna, Metroliner or similar twin-engine aircraft experienceSubject matter expert in various technical fieldsAbility to maintain great personal/professional relationshipsCan plan long term eventsExperience in a technical setting with Twin Commander aircraft is highly preferredOutstanding communicator, exceptional leader, and top-tier strategistExperience maintaining technical control of various engineering projects with the utmost attention to detail, while outlining timelines and milestonesAdditional Skills & QualificationsExperience in aerospace engineering, mechanical design, and project managementExperience with technical support for aircraftsWork Environment

This position requires onsite work in Creedmoor, NC. The work involves utilizing various technologies and equipment, and the role is divided with 70% technical support and 30% project management. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $37.00 - $50.00/hr.
