Job Title: Project Engineer Job Description The Distribution Engineer will support top utility companies with Distribution Line Designs. This role involves executing engineering and design for overhead and underground systems in varying electrical and environmental conditions, adhering to diverse client and industry standards. The position requires direct, positive client interaction throughout all project phases and experience in leading teams of engineers, designers, field personnel, and drafters. Responsibilities also include assisting with the development of proposals, work plans, budgets, and schedules, along with managing each element. The role demands the application of engineering calculations to various project challenges to develop comprehensive and competent designs, as well as reviewing engineering packages and reports. Responsibilities + Support top utility companies with Distribution Line Designs. + Execute engineering and design for overhead and underground systems. + Ensure designs adhere to varying client and industry standards. + Engage in direct, positive interaction with clients throughout project phases. + Lead teams of engineers, designers, field personnel, and drafters. + Assist in developing proposals, work plans, budgets, and schedules. + Manage project elements effectively. + Apply engineering calculations to project challenges. + Review engineering packages and reports. Essential Skills + Design expertise in distribution design. + Proficiency with Bluebeam software. + Project engineering and management skills. + Understanding of utility distribution standards and practices. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Bachelor of Science in Engineering, preferably electrical or civil. + Five (5) + years of utility distribution experience. + Knowledge of overhead and underground distribution lines (4 kV through 69 kV). + Experience with utility standards, NEC, NESC, and joint facilities design. + Familiarity with construction package development. Work Environment Initially, work is required in the office for 5 days a week, transitioning to 3 days in the office after a few months.
