Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Project Engineer to join our team. This role involves research and development of new manufacturing processes and materials to support defense initiatives.
ResponsibilitiesResearch and develop new manufacturing processes and materials.Analyze existing processes and identify areas for improvement.Evaluate designs and plan layout of equipment for production.Conduct tests to evaluate the efficiency of processes.Address issues of safety and compliance with environmental regulations.Collaborate with engineers, chemists, and production staff to ensure quality and efficiency.Support ballistics testing and analyze data from testing.Develop and maintain failure analysis procedures consistent with company quality policies.Support all technical insertion activities and manage project implementation.Analyze all drawing and technical data specifications to assure compliance with customer requirements.Participate in weekly Integrated Product Teams (IPT) as required.Develop cost estimates for process implementation and production.Document all created and modified processes.Essential SkillsProject managementMechanical engineeringSystems engineeringCustomer relationsDefense industry experienceBSME degreeSolidworks Design experienceProduct development and management experienceAdditional Skills & QualificationsBachelors in Mechanical Engineering or related field5+ years of experience in the Defense industryWork Environment
The work environment offers stability with business contracts secured for the next five years, ensuring no shortage of work. The role is based in a clean environment with a growth mindset, allowing for career advancement. The schedule follows a 9/80 work schedule, with normal workdays from 7 am to 5 pm and every other Friday off. Flexibility in hours is possible within a consistent range. The position requires travel, approximately 25% of the time, to various locations including Arkansas. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $95000.00 - $120000.00/yr.
