Project Engineer

We are looking for a talented Project Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and developing chemical processes for both new and existing products, conducting process simulations and modeling to optimize production efficiency, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless process integration. This role also involves performing process hazard analyses, implementing safety measures, developing and maintaining process documentation, and identifying process improvements to enhance yield, reduce costs, and minimize environmental impact.

Responsibilities:

Conduct process design and safety reviews.Implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.Design and develop chemical processes for new and existing products.Perform process simulations and modeling to optimize production efficiency.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, production, and quality control, to ensure seamless process integration.Perform process hazard analyses and implement safety measures.Develop and maintain process documentation, including P&IDs, process flow diagrams, and standard operating procedures.Identify and implement process improvements to enhance yield, reduce costs, and minimize environmental impact.Troubleshoot process issues and provide technical support to production teams.Stay updated with industry trends, technologies, and best practices.Lead in setting safety expectations and standards for the department.Fully support and promote the initiatives of the Responsible Care Management System.

Essential Skills:

Bachelor of Science in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.5+ years of experience in chemical manufacturing as a process/production engineer.Proficiency in conducting root cause analysis (RCCA, RCA, RCFA).Experience in process improvement methodologies such as Lean and Kaizen events.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $70.00/hr.
