Project Engineer
Job Description/ Position Summary:

The role of the Broadcast Engineering Project Manager is to manage the implementation of broadcast and other systems that are built, operated and maintained by this organization. This includes the design, integration and documentation of the systems.

The Project Manager will gather requirements and researches systems and connectivity. The Project Manager produces drafts and works closely with the CAD Engineers to create detailed design packages and documentation in AutoCAD. The Project Manager will also support the Integration Team as well as the Maintenance Teams with Testing & Commissioning when the systems go live. The Project Manager will support the Maintenance team when issues arise and provide guidelines to keep systems up-to-date. The Project Manager will also manage project budgets and develop timelines.

Essential Duties:

The Project Managers duties are to ensure Engineering projects are delivered on-budget and on-time. The Project Manager needs to work closely with CAD and Design Engineers and support the demands of the Production. The Project Manager will also define configurations and works closely with vendors to bring systems up.



Other responsibilities include:

Lead design reviews with the design engineers and stakeholders of Broadcast Engineering projects

Develop budget proposals and project resource estimation. Plan and schedule milestones

Provide schematics and/ or drafts of the design to the CAD Engineers

Work directly with vendors to research systems and design systems

Manage changes to project scope and develop contingency plans

Support the Integration Team with questions while systems are being built

Monitor progress of the implementation of a project and estimate completion date of projects

Address any system discrepancies and update the designs if necessary

Keep all stakeholders updated on project status and progress

Create and maintain system documentation

Support Testing & Commissioning of new systems with the Maintenance Team
