Come join our Construction Management Team and work alongside others who share your passion to support communities through exciting and unique projects. **Your Opportunity** Stantec’s Richmond office has an immediate need for a talented, Construction Office Engineer with a minimum of 7 years of experience in Virgina Infrastructure construction projects. This position is for an individual with solid experience looking to challenge themselves on a professional level on a variety of construction management and inspection projects. Requiring office presence and periodic site visits. You will have the opportunity to gain experience, work on exciting and multi-faceted projects, and grow your career. The successful candidates will join a growing team of transportation professionals and contribute to the growth and success of Construction Management and Resident Engineering Inspection team throughout Richmond and Williamsburg Area. **Your Key Responsibilities** **Assist the Resident Engineer in daily Field Office and field operations.** + Coordinate submittal process; monitoring of construction progress and costs; coordination of progress payments; monitoring of quality assurance; monitoring of safety compliance; environmental assessment and inspection; assist in review of submittals and documents. + Distribute and review all submittals and deliverables, including scheduling, daily reports, requisitions for payment, work plans, RFIs, design documents, product data and shop drawings. + Perform document control through established software and databases. + Efficiently track and maintain status on the disposition of Project action items and design/construction issues. + Write letters, memos, and meeting minutes, and develop written reports as needed. + Validate and monitor Contractor’s invoices for payment in accordance with progress of the work. + Assist in the review, documentation, and management of change requests. Assist in change order negotiations and the issuance of change requests. **Qualifications** **Your Capabilities and Credentials** + Excellent oral and written communication skills and experience with Microsoft office, Microsoft Project and related PC software packages used on design and construction projects. + Additional construction certifications such as NICET, ACI, etc. are valuable + Local Virginia experience with VDOT is required + Experience with the VDOT Construction Contract closeout process is desirable **Education and Experience** + Minimum of 7 years of experience in construction inspection or management of infrastructure construction projects.
