The Power Systems Solutions (PSS) Department of S&C Electric Canada is in search of an Electrical Engineering Student. The successful candidate will be rotated between different groups of PSS which includes: Engineering, Field Service, and Project Management. Job Description:
Understanding the scope and customer requirements of the project and assist in defining the technical scope of work with S&C's lead engineers Assist the engineering team to Perform the development and execution of P&C and SCADA design activities on assigned projects. Prepare AC DC schematic drawings and wiring diagrams. Work with the project team to develop technical specification for equipment and service to support procurement process Review shop drawings for technical conformity to project requirements Write technical reports and proposals Project management coordination and scheduling Attend meetings, prepare minutes of meeting and follow up with action items Assist in facilitation of workshops and meetings to develop business processes Document business processes based on output from workshops Assist in providing installation, FAT, on site commissioning and startup activities at the job sites as required by project scopes Work with S&C's products including communication devices and Distribution Automation control Other administrative tasks as assignedQualifications:
3rd or 4th year Electrical Engineering student available for an 8 month Co-op Fall 2025 work term (Sept 2025 - April 2026) Self-starter with excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills Attention to detail Fast-learner with an aptitude for learning other company-specific software Proficient with Microsoft software, specifically Excel and Word Experienced with Micro Station or AutoCAD Familiar with relay programming, communication protocols, and protection logic concepts
