Position Summary
Prepare associated paperwork, including nameplates, de-trash, perform associated manual and machining operations, subassembly, final assembly, test and button-up of Pump Motor Package (PMP) units, large designated Skydrol units and other designated high-volume pump families.
The below statements reflect the general details considered necessary to describe the principle functions of the job identified and shall not be construed as a detailed description of all the work requirements that may be inherent in the job.
Essential Functions
+ De-trash the kit from the stockroom, perform floor stock maintenance, cycle count floor stock, initiate short requisitions, and over-issue tickets.
+ Perform all subassembly operations; machines and tools included and are not limited to lathe, presses, flat lap, polish, drill press, plating, potting & adhesive, and electrical soldering.
+ Perform all the final assembly tasks – similar to subassembly tasks.
+ Performing all test-associated tasks: Set-up test stand, set-up product, performing the hydraulic test, and performing electrical testing (Dielectric & insulation resistance). Create QC-203 test records.
+ Button-up: Nameplate application, lockwire, painting and masking, mechanical removing of cosmetic defects and alodining.
+ Works with minimum supervision.
+ Sets up and prepares work areas.
+ Is able to perform tasks in other work areas.
+ Works from complex blueprints and assembly processes. Can utilize personal computers to obtain proper documentation (paperless operation).
+ Maintains good working order for tools, jigs, inspection devices and other supplies and performs simple equipment repairs as necessary.
+ Production output shall meet or exceed established standards and shall conform to prescribed quality.
+ Trains fellow employees as required.
+ Participates in “continuous improvement” activities/efforts with the classification/department.
+ Shall be capable and shall be willing to be certified and qualified in multiple product families, within 45 days of reaching the top of the wage progression.
Qualifications
+ High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
+ Ability to perform the essential functions of the job identified above.
+ Medium or higher level of mechanical aptitude.
